Summary
From multimillion bestselling Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Amazon and Audible author RR Haywood, creator of the worldwide bestselling Extracted, and The Code trilogies, the phenomenal Undead Series, and the heart-pounding thriller DELIO PHASE ONE, comes Fiction Land, a laugh-out-loud blockbuster adventure
"Imagine John Wick wakes up in a city full of characters from novels - That's Fiction Land"
A delivery driver finds himself inside a world occupied by characters from unfinished novels and must accept he is not real. But the world around him doesn’t feel right, and when he starts asking questions, the authorities soon take extreme measures to stop him finding the truth about Fiction Land.
Not many men get to start over.
John Croker did and left his old life behind – until crooks stole his delivery van, but no van means no pay, which means his niece doesn’t get the life-saving operation she needs, and so in desperation, John uses the skills of his former life one last time. While everything he thought he knew starts to unravel.

Awesome
What a cracking story. Another weird and wonderful addition to the Boss' library. I could 'see them' all in my mind, all the characters brought to life by both author and narrator. Brilliant idea for a book. Can't wait for the sequel.

Brilliant
Another brilliantly written story from a great writer. I loved this story, all the usual madness that comes from RR Haywoods wonderfully crazy storytelling. I really hope there is a 2nd book. I need to know what happens next.

makes perfect sense!
I have to admit to being a huge RR Haywood fan and everything he has written I have devoured. I will say that it took me a good hour to get into it as was soooo confused but it was bloody worth it! Great characters yet again with perfect timed humour. I cannot wait for another instalment.

An absolute hoot!!
I found it confusing and a little disorientating at the beginning but it turns out there's a really good reason for it. brilliant storyline, lots of surprises and twists, great characters and narration. I don't really want to say more and ruin it, but read it if you fancy a giggle, you won't regret it 😁

Fiction land, obviously the first in a series
RR Heywood is a brilliant author with a wide and varied catalogue.
This idea is as usual full of depth and characters, with his knack for plot twists and surprises.
if however this is your first listen of one of his works, give it time. The beginning which could be tiresome is actually the foundation for what is to come.
I'll certainly get the next in the series, but for me this doesn't compare to the Zombie series, Extracted series or my personal favourite A town called Discovery. I'm so looking forward to the next installment of Disco.
On the whole, this is a good listen and you can easily invest in the characters.

It’s alright,
You can tell it’s mr Haywood book, by the style. Not 100% sure about content, get past the first bit which is a bit messy imo, after that it’s pleasant enough book. Narration was really good.

Thoroughly original
I struggled a little at the beginning to relate to concept but as soon as the main characters develop I was hooked. A very clever story with so many nods to popular fiction it provided what promised to be a fascinating and fast paced romp. Whilst clearly there is an ending that potentially sets up a sequel, I can only hope the plot for the next instalment is a little stronger. I will still read it regardless as I love this author’s writing style and imagination. The narration was excellent

Fantastic fun
Twists galore, beautifully observed lack-of-characters, all very meta, and darkly amusing indeed. Excellent narrator. Up there with CK McDonnell
